Procedure to Address the Governing Board
The agenda is prepared in advance of each meeting. Anyone wishing to speak before the Board must inform the Superintendent/Principal's Office in writing by noon on the Monday immediately prior to the Board meeting and must provide in advance specific information as to the topic/concern to be addressed.
Requests may be submitted to the attention of the YHALE Governing Board Secretary at 1664 Old Peachtree Road, Suwanee, GA, 30024; or by e-mail to email@example.com.
Individuals requesting to speak to the Board will be notified that the request has been received. A speaker's information form will be forwarded to individuals who submit a request to speak by means other than the link provided above. Once a citizen has notified the Governing Board of his or her intent to speak (by noon on Monday prior to the Board meeting), he or she has until 5 p.m. on that day to submit the completed request form.
Additionally, prior to each monthly Board meeting, a sign-up sheet is available in the lobby that night for individuals wishing to address the Board 30 minutes prior to the Board meeting. Individuals requesting to speak to the Board must sign in by 6:15pm in order to address the Board.
To ensure effective public participation at Business Meetings of the Board, the following procedures are in effect.

May not yield his/her time to another speaker who has not signed up in advance and has not completed the speaker’s form. (Speakers also may not share the microphone with non-scheduled speakers.)
